These mission-to-mission walks are open to all who enjoy nature, art, history. And walking. Though many of the walks are between 16-22 miles, they're set at a reasonable pace and are easy to train for. Why'd You Start the Group? Long story short: In March 2011 I walked 330 miles of the Camino de Santiago, a 1,200 year-old pilgrimage route in Spain. I lived with very little for 3 weeks. I experienced nature, art, and history. I met people from all around the world on the same simple quest - to r …

So I'm sitting in this three-day, 13-hour-a-day Landmark Education self-improvement seminar in San Francisco, and all I could think about was escaping through one of the (hermetically sealed) windows and making a dash for Nob Hill, the only thing resembling a steep incline in the area. It was during the dinner break during the final day of the seminar that I conspired with Paul Schutzman and Mai-Ling Garcia -- two of the very cool people with whom I'd made a connection during our three days of c …

I'm starting this group for SF-based riders who want to share rides to various trails (e.g. Tamarancho, China Camp, Annadel, Skeggs, Wilder Ranch, Henry Coe, etc.), mostly for weekend rides, but I would also like to do some group after-work weekday evening or night rides in the area. There are already several Bay Area mountain biking meetup groups (and I belong to most of them) but I thought it would be good idea to have a resource for SF-based riders to use to organize rides starting form SF or …
